First day collection of Jai Ho is ₹ 33 crore.(according to reports).
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s first release in 16 months, Jai Ho, finally hit the silver screen on Friday. Now, the question in everyone’s mind – including those of Salman Khan fans – is whether Jai Ho will be able to beat record breaking Dhoom 3 box office collections. It is quite a dauntin move for Salman Khan to release the film in non festive, non holiday eason, as this will be the true test of his star power keeping the audience devoid of any other impetus. Prebooking status of the movie was also good and average price ticket sold was of 300 INR. The movie released in over more than 4500 screen in India. But this too could not bring audience to the cinema hall. Only the Diehard fans of Salman Khan are coming to the show. The story and music of the movie are good but its not a Must Watch movie.
Salman was supposed to hit phenomenal comeback – considering that the superstar is back on the 70 mm after a long gap of over a year – but looks like the movie received an over all Thanda response, at least on the first day of it’s release.Well as per the current scenario, it looks like the Salman’s fans are not all that crazy about Jai Ho. What happens to the movie in it’s first weekend, remains to be seen!
As per current response it can’t be considered as a big boom release. It is not in a race of 300 crore club ( as per response).
